- You seem to have had very bad luck with floppies. I'm sure that
- many would agree with me that this is unusual. I've shoved a lot
- of floppies through my Amigas over the past 10 years, and even the
- oldest ones are still readable. The only time I've had problems
- is when I tried using cheap disks. Bulk disks are better nowadays,
- although back in the old days I bought a box of cheapo disks and
- three of the 10 wouldn't even format. I resolved then and there
- to buy only brand-name disks, and out of the 1000 or so disks I've
- used since I've had maybe three go bad.

- In any event, I think there are too many floppies out there to
- make new machines that are incapable of reading them. NeXT
- tried this, and it backfired.
